“Hi, I’m Jan Birss and I run The Daily Maid as Managing Director.

I started The Daily Maid over twenty years ago now, and it has been a really great experience. I started out my career cleaning for friends and family, and the business has gone from strength to strength. The last five years have been the busiest time since I started with more new customers joining us every week. We have gradually expanded the business over time and we are very picky about the people who represent The Daily Maid.”

What do you enjoy about running The Daily Maid?

“For me, running a successful cleaning company has been a long-held ambition and I am proud that we have continued to grow year on year. Don’t get me wrong, this job is hard work and every day brings a new challenge, but I love it and have a great team behind me. Together we are building for the future and looking forward to more success.”

“I’m Tony Birss and I also run The Daily Maid as Operations Director.

My role in the business is to provide administrative and technical support for Jan and her team. My background is in managing successful businesses and making them prosper.

Jan and her team work incredibly hard to deliver a high quality cleaning service for all our customers, and it is my responsibility to ensure that the Daily Maid runs as smoothly as possible on a day-to-day basis. I am responsible for business planning, administration, finance, legal and technical maintenance of our equipment and vehicles.

When our customers first speak to the Daily Maid they usually get through to me, and from there we will organise for Jan or myself to come to your home and discuss your cleaning requirements.”

What do you enjoy about running The Daily Maid?

“My background is in engineering and business management, and with the Daily Maid I enjoy bringing together the skills and experience I have learnt over the years.

The Daily Maid is a family-run business, and as such I take enormous pride in making every one of our customers feel valued.

As a family we know the headaches that come with bringing up children and running a household, and we are confident that our cleaning service takes away some of that stress from our customers lives.”
